Photoinduced Charge Separation. It is appropriate to notice that a number of possible processes have been omitted in Fig. 6 which can provide "short-circuit" paths within the photoelectrochemical cell. The most important of such dissipative processes is the charge recombination between the hole in the oxidized sensitizer and the injected electron.
